If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that giving my notice at work was bittersweet. I have raised my children here. I graduated college while working here. I helped grow this company. It’s definitely time to move on, but I know Friday will be weird.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would ask you why the teacher who has not sent home ONE piece of science homework all freaking year send home an earthquake project. Seriously, the house of no crafts has to create a two-story structure that can withstand an earthquake!!! I immediately handed the three-page rubric to David and whispered good luck with that.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that the next time Abby asks for a pet and I waiver, for a freaking instant, I will immediately call Martina.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that I don’t get Valentine’s Day. I mean I love my husband and children but do I really need to spend $5 on a card and then figure out a gift? I just paid Christmas off for Cripes sake.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you I had the best experience ever on Saturday. I was invited to attend trapeze school by my friend. Since she trusted me to run a half-marathon, I trusted her that I wouldn’t die. Instead I flew. If this isn’t on your bucket list, put it on now. Right freaking now. I am still smiling over the experience and cannot wait to go back.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you how overwhelmed I was by the support shown to me last week. Friday’s post was beyond cathartic and while I maybe shouldn’t have been so honest I am glad I didn’t delete it.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would admit that I have not run since January 31st but I’m going to get back on track. I know I had better mental clarity and less stress when I took time out every day to be outside and to run no matter what distance I chose. I would also be honest and tell you I’m not doing it until it’s over 30 degrees with no wind chill.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you to Julie for stopping by unexpectedly on Monday. It was so much fun to visit and listen to our girls play. We definitely have to do it more often.
If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank Lauren again for taking me to trapeze school. I would say I cannot wait until March when we get to do it all over again. I would hope you understand how much I value your friendship and support. Even if it means you have to climb a rickety ladder. I would also tell you my family is getting tired of me talking about it since they were not invited!
If we were having a glass of wine, I hope you are having a wonderful week and would tell me about it.
You’re leaving your job? We need to catch up! Also you are SO SO cool for doing the trapeze – yikes. You look amazing though. Flying indeed.
