I blinked and it’s almost over

This summer I have taken more time off of work than I ever have in the past. I have taken more time to spend with my family. I have traveled and I have connected. I have also disconnected from my phone/e-mail/social crap. I have read more books this summer and watched less reality TV.

I’m freaking exhausted.

I feel like I blinked and somehow it is almost time for the girls to go back to school. It all started with taking mom to Barry

The next week a Father’s Day trip to Chincoteague/Assateauge.

Followed by Fourth of July Madness Weekend filled with family and friends. The next week a quick trip to NYC where I met blog friends in real life at BlogHer.

Back to Chincoteague/Assateauge a promised Christmas present to watch the pony swim, auction (thankful she did not bid on a horse, mind you) and beach milestones.

A long trip to VA to move my parents. Leaving two days later for our annual unplug trip to VT. Truly one of my favorite places to go: no WIFI, no cell service. Just friends and family for a week.

Sure we almost got kicked out of the campground for laughing past 10pm and at one point David may or not have been rocking a bikini top while sober. You cannot beat the view of the mountains or the company. It is always sad to say goodbye at the end of the week. (For the safety of marital harmony I won’t post the picture of the bikini). However if the person who has the photo wants to share it….

The view I woke up to every morning

There are just three weeks before school starts and not once have I heard “I BORED”.

It’s worth the exhaustion.
