When this week is better than last, it is time to share a glass of wine.

If we were sharing a glass of wine, I would tell you how awesome it is that we decided years ago to give to charity rather than one another on our birthdays. Your birthday present was to feed a child on the weekends. I hope you had a wonderful birthday and am thankful that you and I agree that giving is better than receiving.

If we were sharing a glass of wine, I would thank you for letitng me be there for your sons as I hope you will be there for my daughters.

If we were sharing a glass of wine, we would laugh about how I have the most patient dog ever.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you for getting me through my funk. I wouldn’t brag that I am easily to get out of the funk. You would just remind me that my denial ability is greater than yours.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that the eldest child convinced me that experiences are better than presents. She also convinced me to return to Great Wolf Lodge where in one of the rare moments we vacationed as a family rather than four people at the same resort.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that I don’t know who the next President will be but I am going to miss Alec Baldwin on SNL.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would give you a copy of M in the Middle and you would read it. We  would have a better understanding of what our children go through and hope that we make their lives easier.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you Andy is never going to get a word in edgewise with the Real Housewives Reuinion but it’s cute that he tries.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you for going to Trunk or Treat with me because you understood I needed you and that I knew you would understand if I ended up crying in the bushes and you were left caring for my children while I regrouped. The bonus was it was a success and there were no tears. But I am thankful that you were there in case I did.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you this isn’t Holland and I am not always sure where here is but I am so glad you are holding my hand.
