If we were having a glass of wine…

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that having the flu sucks. Having the entire family have the flu sucks more. Having the entire family have the flu and you have to still be a mom….there are no words to describe how much that sucks.

The “sick” ward

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that Mother Nature can kiss my Irish ass.  Having a snow day in the middle of March is just not fair.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that if your child has a rare syndrome you should check out Simon VIP Connect. It is a new research group compiling data to try to connect patients with rare syndromes to researchers.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you for e-mailing me to let me know how you are doing. I know I don’t get around the other blogs as much as I used to but I haven’t forgotten any of you.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that I am very glad my 10-miler isn’t until June.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would ask you how many days until flip-flops, Sandy Neck and camping season.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you how proud I am of you. You made a decision to change your life (for the better) and while you don’t need my praise, you have my admiration.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that some days navigating this whole marriage thing is only possible with a sense of humor. For example, if you tell your husband to take the pork out when it reaches 160 degrees, you better tell him not to leave the thermometer in the meat while it is cooking.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that having a teenager isn’t as bad as I’ve been told. Other than it is no longer possible to put her to bed at 8pm and watch what I want on TV.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you if you were looking for a book to read I recommend “An Invisible Thread” by Laura Schroff and ask you for a recommendation.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you for being so sweet to send me the book, “View from Our Shoes” and tell you I cannot wait to read it.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that Bridget’s new favorite thing is a ‘Jama day. I am loving that she knows the difference. I wish she would understand that having a ‘jama day in school is a one time event.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that some day Bridget will be too big to hold when she is sick. Today is not that day, for which I am so very happy.
