Mirror, Mirror on my wall

I am not a fan of the mirror.

When I look into at the image the mirror, I see Rosannadanna hair and a face only Cher would love in the movie Mask. I see the long front teeth that got me nicknamed “bucky” by a vengeful cousin in JR High. I used to hate going into the bathroom that said “Bucky was here” where a chunk of the counter was chipped. It was quite a year

I’m not quite ready to let go of 2015. We had a lot of excitement, a lot of laughs and so many moments where life just went right.

January–I was so happy to be one of thousands who used their blogs to spread compassion and empathy throughout the internet. Yvonne and Lizzi created a call to action. My LTYM Friend: Terri

When I first met Terri at LTYM Boston I seriously thought, holy crap! She walked in confident, stylish and (most importantly) kind. I am honored to share her first ever written piece.

Terri has a quiet demeanor about her, at first, yet when she shared her story I realized there is so much beneath the fashion. Including some steal balls she may have inherited from her mom.

Ashley an Instamom and an Inspiration

The divorce rate in America is estimated between 40-50% of all marriages. Of those marriages I imagine the majority are divorced parents. Divorce (I can only imagine) is hard. Parenting is difficult. Combined, I have no freaking idea how you process it all with grace and humor. But what happens when your spouse remarries?

Hopefully you are lucky to have them marry a woman like my friend Ashley. A woman who understands not only what it means to be an instamom but that a stepmom is more than being a parent.

I met Ashley at LTYM Boston this winter. Having a similar sense of humor we became fast friends. Ashley has the best job EVER creating Italian travel adventures with her company L’Esperta. I live vicariously through her blog. When I finally wear David down and convince him to travel to Italy I am making Ashley not only plan our trip but will make her go with us!
