If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that life has been incredible.  It’s been beyond busy, which has taken a toll on my writing and running. Yet it has been the happy kind of chaos.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that David and I had dinner alone the other night. We had a chance to reconnect (aka not talk about the girls). It has been too long since we have had that couple time. It was nice to remember why we married one another!

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you how proud I am of Bridget. She has made such leaps in her verbal skills. The other day, she told someone a true story. Using just 10 or so words, she conveyed that she conveyed that she walked on the treadmill while watching a movie about a princess.  There was no interpretation needed.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that the new job is Wil-Freaking-Wheaton awesome.  My coworkers are incredible, my boss is beyond generous and the days are flying by.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that I finally ran after a two month sabbatical. It wasn’t pretty but I didn’t sprain my butt so I am taking it as a win.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that on Saturday I met friends for breakfast…which turned into shopping and then a late lunch.  It was so wonderful to spend time with this group of women who support one another.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would tell you that I am burning the candle at both ends…I actually doubt there is a wick left. But I would promise to be THERE more and to find a way to create better balance. Without writing 3 times a week, my mental space isn’t where it should be.

If we were having a glass of wine, I would thank you for letting me stop by when I had just 43 minutes in my day to spend with a friend.
